Actually that's not quite true there are apps available on the market that will do this, some require a rooted phone but there are others that don't need root access like Easy Tether which is also available on APKtor.

Having said that this sticky wasn't really the place to ask and the information could be found else where on the forum.

Does anyone know how to get an any app to quickly switch 3G data & mms on/off from the home screen rather than having to go into settings? Something like the X10 "quick settings" widget is what I'm looking for..... or can we add the 3G on/off onto this??

Eisuke

Hey, download from the market the application APNdroid - simply put it as an app on ur home screen - and there's a button as soon as u open it to switch 3g stuff on and off...

Hope that helps :))

Hi Good Day.

It's so nice to know that there's a forum about SE Xperia X10. I just purchased n X10 Mini a month ago and I'm sooo loving it's features and usefulness both for work and fun. Prior to finding out about this forum, I already created a website to just talk about anything about my new Xperia. For my contribution on Tips and Tricks, since it's too long to type.. just please view my blogsite - http://jerryselectronicencounters.yolas ... -directory Its an instruction on how to get pics from facebook and using them for your Xperia X10 Mini Contact profiles!

U can goto settings>wireless controls>airplane mode. Or hold down the power button until u r prompted with a dialog box. U can also download widgets allowing u to change to offline with one click.

Hope this helps :-D

the android os are not running things in the back it dont multitask programs, it use what it need and closes it..

am a bit confused, do you want to remove them from your phone coz you don't use them and will probably never will, or you want to move them to sd to save space in phone memory? if you want to uninstall any third party app, you can use there native app manager or use a free uninstaller from market.
if you wanna move them to sd,I hear there is something called apps2sd that probably works for 1.6, haven't tried it myself so can't confirm if it works or even exists.
if you want to remove native apps like moxier, you'll need to root your phone and then use titanium to remove them. it can also freeze your desirable apps so you can check the functionality of your phone without that certain software during troubleshooting etc.
