Creatouch app now available for Xperia X10

CreatouchThe Creatouch app that allows users to personalize their Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 home screen is now available to download in the PlayNow market. It seems a bit hit and miss whether you can find it or not. For example, some people running X10i Nordic firmware have it, but despite running the same firmware it’s not appearing for me either directly through PlayNow or via Mediascape.

Creatouch lets you create personalised wallpapers and share these socially. We have included a few pictures of the installation process courtesy of twitter user farhan032 after the jump. Also, for those that have it, let us know your thoughts on Creatouch in the comments below.

  2. Just downloaded the Creatouch Application in Belgium on the oldest .14 firmware. Looks something to play with for a minute or 10 but afterwards it will get bored i think.

    I am from slovakia and I bought it in shop so I do not have branded firmware inside 🙁

    Somebody can help me ?

  7. Gave Creatouch a spin on my X10, fun for the first minute or so, but felt that the app can deliver more with undo/redo and the ability to retrieve saved images… am I missing something for the second requested feature? Odd to see a save function but not an “open” function.

    BTW I’m from Singapore, baseband 1.0.14, build R1FA014

  10. @Han Jun Kwang: You can open images if you click the most right icon on the second row of the backgrounds (the black icon with a camera/folder sign in it) 😉

  11. Hey guys. I opened playnow a few days ago and it offered me an update so I updated it. After the update, there are no changes. I can only view music. No apps, wallpapers or themes. Therefore I cannot download CreaTouch. I am from the UK on T-Mobile. I de-branded my handset a while ago from X10a to X10i. The back of my phone behind the battery states that my handset is X10i anyway so I don’t know why it originally came with X10a firmware. But could this be causing the issue with updates ? I mean I did update and still can reverse the update of PlayNow but there are no changes. Xperia Call Centre told me that they were not aware of a PlayNow update or Creatouch and that PlayNow on X10’s should only show music and nothing else. Could someone help me. I can’t even open the mobile version of playnow on my X10 browser but I can open the fullsite but that’s of no use.

  15. I’m using Firmware R1FB001 with Telenor operator in Norway, and found the app now in PlayNow on my Xperia X10. Great App and it’s free !!! 🙂

  17. I am also on t-mobie and though i do genuinely like my x10 handset Iam not so thrilled that i cannot update to get creatouch. Does anyone know when this may be possible?
    I am also wanting to update to the 2.2 firmware that I also do not have a clue about. With these updates this handset is a real contender to the iphone.
    If anyone is aware of anything please post

  19. I called SE Canada today and they told me that Canadian and US x10 holders wont be able to get a hold of PlayNow & Create touch because Play Now is only available for Overseas. That sucks 🙁

  20. What a most useless application. All the time it takes to develop for this?
    Ideally it should be devoted to updating Froyo android, HTC and is much better than them

Well i have installed the latest update for ma x10..well for starters it was hard to find the creatouch app. Which has to b dwnloaded frm play now.the app creatouch is not such a huge one but yes it does allow u to coustomize ur wall ppr..tis is not wat is gud abt the update .wat makes m happy is the speed of opening mediascape and timescape has increased drastically.and a little increase in battery backup..tats it….waitin eagrly fr 2.1 .hurry up sony
