The Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 handset has now been officially announced. We saw a number of promo shots of the phone earlier but details were lacking. We now know that the X8 is indeed an Android (version still to be determined) phone and will come with a 3-inch (320 x 480) TFT display. It will be powered by a 600MHZ processor and 1200mAh battery.
It looks as if SE is positioning the handset between the flagship Xperia X10 and its mini variants. Interestingly, it will come with the same four-corner-shortcut UI seen on the X10 mini. Other features include a 3.2MP camera, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, microSD card slot along with SE’s Mediascape and Timescape applications. The Xperia X8 will be available in Q3 2010 for around the €259 mark in White and a number of two-toned colour options (Dark Blue/ White, Aqua Blue/ White, Pink/ White, or Silver/ White.). See GSMHelpdesk for more pictures.

X8 Looks Nice
But Major Disadvantage for me is the Flash + 5MP 🙁
I dont Understand Hw this wud be in Between X10mini and X10
The only diff is the screen Size 🙁
people wud prefer X10mini Pro Rather than X8 it has qwerty+5mp+flash.
SE sud hav added flash + 5mp then this wud have been a proper X8
3.2mp seems to be outdated
WTF? No flash?
X8 will have a price just below 200 euro. I don’t know where you get 259 from but Sony Ericssons official blog says 200 Euro. So the screen size is not the only difference, the price. Anyway i prefer the regular X10.
